As a result of a video conference called Planet Attack: Know your Scats, students in 3/4B and 4S learned the finer points of identifying what creatures are in the area by simply looking at scats or animal poo! Students connected with the Red Hill Environmental Education Centre at Gulgong and were instructed on the different types of scats and then had the opportunity to examine real scats- carefully sealed of course! It was then up to the students to test their knowledge by making their own 'scats' from playdough and other material to imitate the real thing.
