The Harbour Bridge provided a scenic backdrop for Mount Colah Public School students as they gathered for the 2010 Festival of Choral Music on Wednesday, 25th August. After learning a repertoire of 12 songs which included traditional tunes as 'Early in the Morning' and 'I Vow to Thee My Country', as well as works especially commissioned for the Festival, the Mount Colah Primary Choir thoroughly enjoyed the prestige of singing in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. The finale was accompanied by a confetti canon raining down on an enthusiastic and appreciative audience. "That was the best night of my life," was heard from several of the students. "Comments like that make it all worthwhile," said Mrs Adele Pugh, the Choir Director who facilitated this experience for the children.
