Our School

Mount Colah Public School is situated in a bushland setting, north of Hornsby.  It has a current enrolment of 460 students.  Trained and dedicated teachers deliver quality teaching programs in a caring and supportive environment.  Our school has experienced continuous improvement, particularly in literacy and numeracy over a number of years.  Our school provides a well-rounded education with the development of 'the whole child' seen as important, through its successful academic, sport, performing arts and technology programs.  The school also enjoys a strong parent and community involvement.

School Vision Statement

At Mount Colah Public School our vision is that children leave this school with:

  • a set of values - honesty, integrity and good judgement.
  • a complement of essential skills - linguistic, mathematical, scientific, artistic, physical and social.
  • an equiring and discriminating mind and a desire for knowledge.
  • strong self-esteem and high expectations.
  • inclusivity and respect for others.
We value the partnership which exists between school, parents and community and the part it plays in realising this vision.
