Great Book Swap Wednesday June 29 2016

Mount Colah Public School is participating in a national event, the Great Book Swap which promotes reading and raises funds for children in remote Australian regions who do not have easy access to reading materials.

How Does It Work?

Each student or adult brings along a favourite book in good condition. For each $1:00 coin donation each student is able to choose a book from the swap books, TO TAKE HOME AND KEEP.  All funds raised are donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and once loved books find a new home!

What Do YOU Need To Do?

Students bring in their swap book or books BEFORE swap day and place it in the collection boxes in the library.

On the GREAT BOOK SWAP day, each student brings a gold coin donation and chooses a book to keep from the ones donated by other students.  If you don't have any books to spare, please bring a gold coin as I will have some extra books available to add to the swap books if needed.

Adults bring/send in their swap book before swap day and leave it in the collection box in the library.

On the GREAT BOOK SWAP day, for a gold coin donation, adults can choose a book from the adult display outside the library, before and after school.

WHY NOT MAKE CHOOSING AND READING THE SWAP BOOKS A FAMILY ACTIVITY.

ENJOY READING AND HELPING OTHERS HAVE THE PLEASURE OF READING!
