Mount Colah Public School's annual Garden Party was well attended last Sunday. Not only were current parents and students in attendance, even ex-parents and students turned up to lend a helping hand. Many tasks were completed including garden beds mulched, tidied and pruned; over 60 new plants planted; a wooden fence built; garden seating installed; wooden tables re-oiled and new gardens created. A new small garden bed at the front of the school was and a fantastic new dry creek bed next to the Before and After School Care building were created.
Much pruning took place around the back gates to improve safety and water pressure cleaners scoured the concrete under the hall COLA and outside the office. Books were covered for the library and the Technology Centre completed maintenance tasks.
It is truly amazing what hard work , enthusiasm and a sense of fun can achieve in one day.
