Parents and carers can explore the importance of mathematical skills within the expanded Everyday Maths Hub.
Participate in a range of mathematical activities with your child from reading books and playing games to shopping and cooking. All designed to help your child develop confidence and nurture skills in maths.
Developed by the NSW Department of Education, with content curated by primary and secondary mathematics teachers, the Everyday Maths Hub is designed to help parents and carers engage positively with their children about mathematics through everyday activities.
Mathematics develops capabilities for life, giving students the opportunity to form life-long fundamental skills in problem solving, analysis and observation – relevant to everyday life and all careers.
Within the Everyday Maths hub you’ll also find resources and content on maths and careers, financial literacy, plus translated content in Arabic, Chinese - simplified, Chinese - traditional, Hindi and Vietnamese.
