Literacy and Numeracy Week was celebrated across Australia in the Week 30th August to 3rd September. To commemorate this event MCPS held a Read for Australia afternoon where all students in the school stopped at 2pm on Wednesday to spend some time enjoying a good read. Kindergarten had their Year 5 buddies read to them and they in turn read to their buddies. Year One students were entertained by Year 4 students who did some book busking where they read and acted out a story. Other classes read online books and shared stories with other students.
